1. Information on how to enter and prizes form part of these conditions. By participating, entrants agree to be bound by these conditions. Entries must comply with these conditions to be valid.
2. Entry is open to residents of Australia who are 18 years and over. Employees and their immediate families of the Promoter and its agencies associated with this promotion are ineligible to enter.
3. Purchase a G-Shock Watch from a Myer Store, Incu Store and select other G-Shock retailers nationally. To enter visit www.g-shocksydney.com and follow the prompts. One entry permitted per proof of purchase.
4. The promotion commences at 00.01 EST on 05/10/09 and closes at 23.59 EST on 12/11/09 (“Promotional Period”).
5. The draws will take place at 12.00 EST on 13/11/09 at Dialect Interactive, Level 9, 190 George Street Sydney NSW 2000. The first 150 valid entries drawn will receive the minor prize. All valid entries will go into the major draw.
6. The minor prize consists of 150 double passes to the G-Shock: Shock the World Sydney event on 19/11/09 at Carriageworks in Everleigh NSW. Winners must make their own way to the event. Prize value RRP $200. Total value of prizes $30,000. The major prize consists of 2 x return economy class airfares to Tokyo from the winner’s nearest capital city (Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane, Adelaide or Perth), including twin share accommodation for 3 nights in Tokyo and two tickets to the Shock The World Tokyo event. Flights to be taken no later than 26th December 2009. Flights subject to booking and availability. The Promoter and event organisers have the right to change event date if required. Total RRP value of prize = $5,000. Total prize pool RRP $35,000. All other ancillary costs including but not limited to insurance, taxes, meals, drinks, additional transfers (to and from airports and any other locations) and any and all other expenses are the sole responsibility of the winner. For the major prize winner’s guest must also be aged 18 years or over.
7. The major prize winner will be notified by telephone and in writing within 2 days of the draw and their name published in The Australian on 18/11/09.
8. In order to claim the major travel prize and G-Shock tickets, the winner must come forward by 17:00 EST on 20/11/09. In the event no winner has come forward to claim the major prize as at 20/11/09, the major prize will be declared unavailable and a substitute prize of greater or equivalent value will replace the major prize in accordance with clause 11.
9. If necessary, a second chance draw will be held on 12/02/10 (being at least 3 months after the date of the initial draw) at the same time and place as the first draw in order to award the substitute unclaimed prize. Winners name published in The Australian on 10/02/10.
10. The major prize is not transferable and is not redeemable for cash. The Promoter’s decision is final and binding - no correspondence will be entered into. The Promoter accepts no responsibility for late, lost or misdirected entries or other communications. Entries will be deemed void if illegitimate, forged, manipulated or tampered with in any way.
11. In the event that any prize becomes unavailable for reasons beyond the Promoter’s control, the Promoter may substitute a prize of equal or greater value, subject to any written directions from the various lottery authorities.
12. The Promoter reserves the right to request verification of age, identity, residential address of winners and any other information relevant to entry into or participation in this promotion. Verification is at the discretion of the Promoter, whose decision is final. The Promoter reserves the right to disqualify any individual who is involved in any way in interfering or tampering with the conduct of this promotion.
13. The Promoter shall not be liable for any loss, damage or injury suffered (even if caused by negligence) as a result of accepting and/or using a prize, except for any liability which cannot be excluded by law.
14. Before the prize is awarded, the winner (and any other person sharing the prize with the winner) will be required to sign an agreement to release the Promoter from and indemnify the Promoter against any liability arising from the use or participation in the prize.
15. Entrants consent to the Promoter using their name, likeness, image and/or voice in the event that they are a winner in any media for an unlimited period of time without remuneration for the purpose of promoting this promotion (including any outcome) and/or promoting any products manufactured, distributed and/or supplied by the Promoter.
16. Details from entries will be collected and used for the purpose of conducting this promotion (which may include disclosure to third parties, including local lottery authorities, for the purpose of processing and conducting the promotion) and for promotional purposes surrounding this promotion. By entering this promotion entrants consent to the use of their information as described and agree that the Promoter may use this information, or disclose it to other organisations that may use it, in any media for future promotional, marketing and publicity purposes without any further reference or payment to the entrant.
